Rev. Dr. Stephen Lewis
Some people love the book of Proverbs. They love how practical, how down to earth it is. Others avoid the book – sometimes it seems like the book is promising health and wealth and the perfect family if only you will do the right thing. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by page after page of apparently randomly ordered one-liners. I’ve become convinced that the book of Proverbs is aiming at your heart and that it requires you to think very carefully with your mind, that the book has a discipleship agenda that is relevant and needed today.
