The Master of Divinity and Master of Ministry (conferred by the Australian College of Theology) are intended for students with an undergraduate degree in a non-theological discipline. Like their undergraduate counterparts (the Bachelor of Theology/Ministry), they will equip students with the necessary biblical, theological and practical skills necessary for Christian ministry or further academic study. They are three year full-time (or equivalent) courses, though students who complete a fourth year of study may receive a combined MDiv-GDDiv course award.
The Master of Ministry degree offers students the opportunity to focus a greater portion of their course study on units from the field of Ministry and Practice, and to complete their course without required study of the biblical languages.
RTC currently offers the following Master Degrees, which are courses of the Australian College of Theology
The MDiv (Master of Divinity), conferred by the Australian College of Theology, makes the content of the BTh course available at Masters level for people who already have a degree in another field.
The MMin (Master of Ministry), conferred by the Australian College of Theology, introduces graduate students to the sources and content of the Christian story and message, and provides training which emphasizes application and practice of this story and message in the contemporary world.
