Join RTC for our first summer intensive, exploring what it means to grow in Christ and nurture spiritual maturity in life and ministry.

Led by Chris Pretorius, this unit will examine the biblical foundations of Christian spirituality, the Reformed understanding of spiritual growth, and practical spiritual disciplines.

Chris Pretorius

Chris is the pastor at Wonga Park Christian Reformed Church, and he also heads up a team planting a church in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. He completed a Doctor of Ministry in 2026 titled, “What Factors Influence the Spiritual Health of Individuals Within the Christian Reformed Churches of Australia”. He is also an accredited pastoral supervisor with the Australasian Association of Supervision with a particular focus on helping pastors pay attention to how God is forming them in their ministry.

The unit is open to registered AUT students for credit. Serving pastors are also warmly encouraged to attend as audit students, to be better equipped to shepherd God’s people.

Teaching will take place online over summer, with an in-person intensive from 25–29 January 2027, before Semester 1 begins. Intensive classes are expected to start at lunchtime on Monday and finish at lunchtime on Friday, with full days from Tuesday to Thursday.
