Women at RTC

The RTC is committed to raising, training, and supporting women for Christ-centred life and ministry. Whether you are passionate about teaching, pastoral care, missions, or leadership, studying at RTC will equip you to serve effectively in your ministry context.

We encourage women to pursue theological study with confidence, knowing that their gifts, talents, and callings are valuable and necessary for the kingdom of God.

We invite you to join the diverse and dynamic group of students at RTC who are being equipped for faithful ministry, lifelong learning, and impactful service in the church and beyond.

Emma Sunderland

“I had considered studying at the RTC for some time, to be further equipped for my role in ministry. I have most certainly been equipped, and have also grown so much in my understanding and love of God, the Church, and the Bible – whether you’re a paid ministry worker or member of your Church, I encourage you to consider studying – for His glory!”

Angela Prentice

Angela Prentice

Angela Prentice studied at the RTC from 2019-2020, completed a graduate diploma of divinity part time over the two years while serving with AFES at RMIT Christian Union. Currently employed at Laneway Church as the assistant minister part time. Angela loves playing video games and only wears black. She’s married to Andrew and mum to little Azalea.

“My favourite subject at the RTC was the Fourth Gospel. I remember at first going into it I knew that the gospel of John would be complex but so foundational to understanding the Trinity and Jesus’ ministry. I absolutely loved each lecture we had with Dr. Martin Williams. When it came to assessment time, I remember I chose a topic that really challenged me specifically looking at John chapter 9. I poured hours of research into it and came out at the end being so excited to write up that 3,500 word essay. During that assessment God taught me that time spent in his word is truly rewarding. Still now, years later, I look at that passage with excitement to study it. Growing in this conviction is something that is crucial for me now serving in vocational ministry.”

Tina Wang, MDiv, class 2021

I thoroughly cherished my time at the RTC, both as a student and as a staff member. The course not only equipped me to clearly articulate the Gospel but also gave me confidence in answering the questions often asked by those exploring the Christian faith. The rich fellowship with students and staff deeply strengthened my love for God.

I completed a graduate diploma at RTC and my favourite subject was pastoral care with Murray Capill. His years of ministry experience and pastoral wisdom provided a rich platform to engage with the complexities of ministering to people in a broken world. It has helped me in my current context to care well for the souls of those around me by pointing them to the ultimate carer, the Lord Jesus.
